Judiciary Monitoring

ASK has been monitoring the Kurdistan Regional Government's institutions for multiple years. This project targeted the judiciary system in Kurdistan. ASK monitored its performance with the help of five volunteering jurists. The project includes four phases:
     First: October 1st to Dec 31st 2007 - preparation and a 4-day workshop for the volunteers as an introduction to the project.
     Second: January 1st to March 31st 2008 - monitoring the criminal court, with a report issued with observations.
     Third: April 1st to June 30th 2008, monitoring the civilian court
     Fourth: July 1st to Sep 31st 2008, monitoring the appellate court
