Aiming to create and prepare professionals in economic journalism in Kurdistan, ASK carried out a project for seven months for 35 students from media departments in technical institutions, colleges of economics and administration, and journalists in different mass media institutions. The project begun with a 4-day workshop during Nov.28th to Dec.1st from 9:30am to 3:30pm. The lecturer was Mr. Salim Wahbee, an Egyptian expert in economic journalism, who designed the workshop’s agenda.
For the rest of the project's period (practical phase), each participating student and journalist worked on preparing topics such as Articles, reportages and interviews related to economic issues and publishing it in one of the local newspapers, 24 products during the project period, 4 products per-month.
These workshops were conducted by the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE).
